16th February, 2022: North American CopperScrap Prices Surged Higher on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices remained mostly unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index as on February 16th, Wednesday. Stainless Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Copper scrap prices surged, whereas Aluminum scrap prices remained flat. Meantime, Brass. Bronze and Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing increased by $0.01 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.01 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by S 0.01 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery remained flat over the day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were unchanged. #3 Copper-Light copper prices witnessed no change from previous day's level.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed no change from previous day's levels. Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged. CuYokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too reported no changefrom the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe held steady on February 16'", 2022.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices were flat on Index.

The price of Romex Wire witnessed no change during the day.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights saw no change from previous day price levels.
